Stalemate: the draw that steals a win
No check and no legal move means the game is a DRAW — even with an extra queen.
There is a way to lose half a win in a single move, and it is called stalemate. It happens when your opponent is NOT in check and still has no legal move: the game ends drawn, no matter how many pieces you are up. Look at the marked squares — they are the black king's three exits. If your move takes all three WITHOUT giving check, it is over: a draw.
You are a whole queen up and mate is one move away. Find one that mates — and beware the one that only stalemates.
